PSAL boys basketball roundup: Williams leads Transit Tech to first league win

Richard Williams had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots and Fabian MacDonald added 19 points and six rebounds as Transit Tech knocked off George Westinghouse, 75-50, for its first league win in Brooklyn AA boys basketball Tuesday night.

Diamond Ince and Matt Banton each followed with 10 points for the Express (4-6, 1-5). Westinghouse is 0-5.

Bayside 58, Martin Van Buren 49: Austin Williams scored 13 points, Brandon King had 12 points and Uzonna Akazi had 11 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks for Bayside (7-4, 5-2) in Queens AA. Van Buren is 2-4.

Grady 51, Robeson 48: Denzel Wilson scored 14 points, Mohamed Dansoko had 13 points and 13 rebounds and Kadeem Stanislas chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Robeson (6-6, 2-4) in Brooklyn AA. Grady improves to 2-4 in league play.

Wadleigh 77, Thurgood Marshall 76 OT: Basil Harley had 26 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, Stephen Turner tallied 18 points and Louis Costen followed with 15 points and 17 rebounds for Wadleigh (8-3, 5-0), which rallied from a 16-point deficit, in Manhattan AA. TMA is 2-4.

Cardozo 68, Forest Hills 58: Jermaine Lawrence had 15 points and 14 rebounds, Tajay Henry had 11 points and Kyle Credle added 10 for Cardozo (5-1) in Queens AA. Forest Hills is 3-4.

Cardinal Gibbons (Fla.) 55, South Shore 44: Wayne Martin scored 14 points and Shamiek Sheppard had 13 for South Shore (7-4) in the Kreul Classic Elite Challenge. The Vikings went 1-3 in the round-robin tournament.

St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) 54, Thomas Jefferson 46, OT: Mike Watson scored 10 points and Jermoine Faison had eight for Jefferson (8-4) in the Kreul Classic Sweet Sixteen Championship third-place game. The Orange Wave went 2-2 in the Coral Springs, Fla. tournament.

Manhattan Center 74, West 50th Street 71: Khalik Hamer had 16 points and five assists, Julian Beach notched 14 points and Robert Konteh (10 rebounds) and Yelsin Gonzalez had 10 apiece for Manhattan Center (3-3) in Manhattan AA. West 50th Street is 1-5.

Susan Wagner 54, CSI/McCown 51: Ian Charles and Aaron Belmore each scored 10 points for Wagner (3-8, 2-4) in Staten Island A. Quamaine Tomlin scored 17 points for CSI McCown (7-1, 4-1) to go over the 1,000-point barrier.

CLASS A

Hunter College HS 49, Economics & Finance 41: Sam Gordon had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Hunter College (6-1) in Manhattan A East. Economics & Finance is 0-6 in Manhattan A Southwest.

CLASS B

Holcombe Rucker 83, Law, Government & Justice 58: Devin Amill scored 20 points and Donald Harvey added 18 for Holcombe Rucker (4-2) in Bronx B East. Law, Government & Justice is 0-6.

Banana Kelly 69, South Bronx 63: Kelvin Perez scored 25 points, Jefferson Ramos had 15 points and seven assists and Malvin Nieves added 14 points for Banana Kelly (3-4) in Bronx B East. South Bronx is also 3-4.

Metropolitan 73, South Bronx Prep 61: William McClellan had 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists and Mahammad Camara notched 13 points for Metropolitan (4-3) in Bronx B East. South Bronx Prep is 4-3 as well.

All City Leadership 65, Maxwell 39: Carlton Miller had 35 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Oliver Inca added 12 points for All City Leadership (5-2) in Brooklyn B East. Maxwell is 2-5.

American Studies 42, Morrisania 35: Zane Vogoel posted 13 points and 13 rebounds and Antonio Aquino had 11 points for American Studies (5-1) in Bronx B West. Morrisania is 4-2.

Fannie Lou Hamer 80, Leadership Institute 33: Jimeek Conyers posted 22 points and five assists, Corey Morgan Jr. had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Tyrik Lewis had 10 points for undefeated Fannie Lou Hamer (7-0) in Bronx B East. Leadership Institute is 0-5.

Wingate 50, Adams Street 38: Jericho Cherisma poured in 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Jean Joseph had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Bronx B West-leading Wingate (7-0). Adams Street is still winless at 0-7.

BCAM 75, Cobble Hill 48: Chris Benjamin had 19 points and 15 rebounds and Patrick Cross chipped in 14 points and six assists for BCAM (3-3), which led 27-15 at halftime, in Brooklyn B West. Cobble Hill is 1-6.

Bathgate 73, FDA III 69: Ben Smith scored 22 points, Branden Benton had 15 and Albert Gonzalez notched 10 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for Bathgate (5-2) in Bronx B East. FDA III is 3-4.

Teachers Prep 93, East New York Family Academy 44: Jordan Stewart scored 18 points, Reatt Foster added 16 points and Andre Menner had 14 points and 14 rebounds for undefeated Teachers Prep (7-0) in Queens B East. East New York Family Academy is 2-5.

Goldstein 66, Tilden 58: Lucas Savage made 16-of-19 free throws and scored 26 points and Jacob Berardi added 25 points and 15 rebounds for Goldstein (5-2) in Brooklyn B West. Tilden is 4-2.

Renaissance 35, Law Enforcement & Public Safety 34: Charle Mordan had 10 points and 14 rebounds and Rashad Hector chipped in eight points for Renaissance (5-1) in Queens B East. Law Enforcement & Public Safety is 4-1.
